How do they tell my baby’s gender using my blood?
When you are pregnant some of your baby’s DNA is mixing around with your blood.
The Sneak Peek test looks for Y chromosomes in your blood. Boys have XY chromosomes Girls have XX chromosomes. So, if they find Y chromosomes in your blood they know you’re having a boy. If not, they know you’re having a girl.
How accurate is the test at 6 weeks?
The blood test is accurate 99.9% accurate at 6 or more weeks.
When can I come in to have my blood drawn?
You will need to make an appointment ahead of time, Monday through Thursday. Your appointment will take about 15-20 minutes. We use Sneak Peek’s snapkit which draws blood from the upper arm. Wearing a short sleeve shirt is recommended. Also, the better hydrated you are, the easier the blood draw.

When am I going to actually get the results?
Standard test results will be emailed the day after the test is received by Sneak Peek. For example, the results will arrive in your inbox 3-6pm Thursday when you do your testing Tuesday at Over the Womb.
The fast track test results will be emailed the day that sneak peek receives the test. So results will arrive in your inbox Wednesday 6-10pm when you do your test at Over the Womb Tuesday.
All samples are sent to sneak peek via overnight mail. We can’t control the mail so in some cases, the sample may be delayed. We will happily provide you with your sample’s tracking number so that you can keep an eye on it.
How do I get the results?
The results will be emailed! You (or whoever you choose to get the results) will get an email from [email protected] with the subject line “Your SneakPeek Result Is In!”
If you don’t see it be sure to check all your folders including Promotions and Junk Mail in case your email filter redirects it, or use your email search toolbar to search for sneak peek results.
What if someone is throwing me a gender reveal?
You will be able to choose who you would like your results delivered to. They can be sent to your email or someone else’s email. It’s completely up to you.
What happens if my results are incorrect or inconclusive?
If this happens, no worries give us a call and we can give you a refund or get you re-drawn for Free. Just remember that Over the Womb doesn’t have any control over the quality of the blood sample or the reading of it.
What if I want to confirm gender?
Great we can’t wait to have you back, showing you your baby wiggling around in your belly is our favorite thing to do!
Just remember you have to be at least 14 weeks to see your baby’s gender on ultrasound.
