The ideal age is 4-14 days old. Babies at this age sleep more soundly and are bendier, which allows us to get all the cute poses everyone loves.
During pregnancy, cell-free fetal DNA is released by the placenta and can be found in mom’s bloodstream. Using a small sample of mom’s blood, SneakPeek tests for the presence of male DNA (Y-chromosomes). Y-chromosomes would only be present if mom is pregnant with a boy. If no Y-chromosomes are found, mom is carrying a girl. This method is known as noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and is safe for both mom and baby. See the peer-reviewed published study that indicates this test is 99.1% accurate as early as 8 weeks into pregnancy.
No. Because all of our ultrasounds are elective, they are not covered by insurance and may not be reimbursed with a flexible spending account.
An elective ultrasound is a non-medical ultrasound. We provide elective ultrasounds with the intent of offering expectant parents the opportunity to see what their baby looks like, determine gender and bond with baby. *THIS MEANS WE CAN NOT TAKE ANY MEASUREMENTS OF THE BABY, DETERMINE DUE DATE, OR LOOK FOR ABNORMALITIES*
